ABOUT

Microneedling with Platelet-Rich plasma (PRP) is a relatively new approach to treating a variety of skin concerns, from hyperpigmentation to scarring. This technique employs tiny needles that penetrate the outer layers of skin in order to stimulate natural healing processes within.

Using PRP with microneedling allows the body to generate even greater amounts of its own growth factors, thereby accelerating the type of repair and regeneration needed for healthy, glowing skin.

Overall, this innovative treatment method has been shown to be highly effective in improving many common skin issues, making it an increasingly popular choice for those looking to achieve their best complexion yet.

HOW IT WORKS

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treament has been used for decades in different medical fields to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. PRP injections use each patient's own healing system to repair and regenerate damaged tissues and improve the musculoskeletal problem.  A human’s PRP contains at least seven different growth factors that stimulate hair growth and many others that rejuvenate the scalp tissues. By extracting PRP from the patient’s own blood, there is no risk of allergic reactions or side effects, resulting in a safe and effective treatment to combat thinning hair before complete baldness.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the difference between PRP & PRF?

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a second generation to Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). PRF is an all-natural solution that can treat areas in the face that show the first signs of aging, like under eye hollows, deflated cheeks and in the scalp for hair restoration.

Harvested PRP has platelets, fibrin and white blood cells, which helps to achieve wound healing, collagen production and improved elasticity. PRF contains a very concentration of white blood cells, fibrin and a small number of stem cells found circulating in our blood stream.

How often should I get a PRP Treatment?

Maintenance sessions can be scheduled 2 – 4 times per year. To increase the benefits of this treatment, ask our team about other facial rejuvenation procedures to maximize results.

Post-Treatment How Long Does It Take to Recover from a PRP Treatment?

There is minimal recovery from a PRP Treatment. Most patients experience redness and minor irritation to the skin after their treatments that will subside in 2-5 days.
